Brian Giebel, East Central District -- The East Central district met in November with Tom Donahoe and Bob Berceau to learn about Geomat and worked through the component manual together on a few designs.  In December, our district will meet with Mark Prevost and a representative of the Eljen company to learn about Eljen, which is another new POWTS product that is being installed throughout the district.  Our district will also be holding election of officers at our December meeting.

David Gifford, West Central District --  Jared Grande, Eau Claire County, is the new West Central District President. Welcome Jared!

Ben Greenberg, Southeast District -- No Report

Jay Kozlowski, Northwest District -- No Report

Dave Sadenwasser, Northeast District --  The Northeast District met on December 13th.  We welcomed representatives from Eljen to discuss permitting, installation, and inspection requirements for their GSF units.  We also heard from the DNR regarding the artificial and non-federal wetland permit exemptions which were recently put into effect by the State.  The changes in philosophy and focus at DSPS both now and in the future were discussed at length.    Also, officers for 2019 were elected. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Adam Wiegel, Southwest District --The Southern District meet in Dodgeville on December 13.  Counties present were Iowa, Grant, Crawford, Richland, Columbia, Lafayette and Green.  A lengthy discussion was held in regards to flood damage assessments and how Counties in the District may be able to assist each other in regards to the matter.  The wet summer also caused issues with septic system maintenance.  Counties present gave a detailed breakdown of when notices were sent, notice deadlines, if a fee was charged and how it was charged and how legal action was taken.  A general discussion was held in regards to the lack of field staff being provided by DSPS.  The topic will be forwarded to the Executive Board.  Other topics were wind/solar energy, telecommunications, conferences and possible OHWM training at the next meeting.  Good luck to Jake in Crawford County with the first year of County wide septic maintenance.

Jeff Brewbaker, Central District -- Jeff is working on getting together a training for January.
